Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Lashbrids Logistics Platform, including all delivery services, wallet transactions, subscriptions, digital payments, bidding activities, and related platform services. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Definitions

For purposes of these Terms and Conditions:

• “Lashbrids” refers to Lashbrids Logistics, its platform, systems, website, payment infrastructure, and related services.

• “Driver” refers to an independent transport or delivery service provider registered on the platform.

• “Customer” refers to any individual or business requesting delivery, courier, or transport services through the platform.

• “Wallet” refers to the driver commission wallet maintained within the platform.

• “Bid” refers to an offer submitted by a driver to complete a customer request.

• “Digital Payment” refers to card or electronic payments processed through an approved payment gateway.

• “Cash on Delivery (COD)” refers to cash collected directly by the driver from the customer or recipient.

2.Platform Services

2.1 Lashbrids operates as a technology platform connecting customers with independent drivers for logistics, courier, transport, and related delivery services.

2.2 Lashbrids is not a transport carrier and does not directly provide transportation or courier services.

2.3 Drivers operate independently and remain responsible for fulfilling accepted jobs lawfully and professionally

3. Driver Subscription Access

3.1 Drivers are required to maintain an active subscription to access available jobs and platform bidding features.

3.2 Subscription fees are payable in advance and are generally non-refundable unless required by applicable law

3.3 Lashbrids reserves the right to suspend or restrict access to drivers with expired, unpaid, or invalid subscriptions

4. Driver Commission Wallet

4.1 Each driver account includes a separate commission wallet used for commission deductions and related platform transactions.

4.2 Drivers are responsible for maintaining sufficient wallet balances

4.3 Wallet top-ups may be completed using approved payment methods made available on the platform

4.4 Wallet balances are non-transferable unless otherwise approved by Lashbrids

5. Bidding Requirements

5.1 Before a driver may place a bid on a delivery request, the platform automatically verifies that the driver’s wallet balance is equal to or greater than ten percent (10%) of the bid amount.

5.2 If the wallet balance is insufficient

  • the bid will automatically be rejected;
  • the driver will receive a wallet top-up notification;
  • the driver may not proceed until sufficient funds are available.

5.3 This verification occurs before any transport or delivery activity begins

6. Customer Payment Methods

6.1 Customers may choose one of the following payment methods when posting a request:

  • Cash on Delivery (COD); or
  • Digital Payment through an approved payment gateway.

6.2 Lashbrids reserves the right to limit, suspend, or disable payment methods where necessary for operational, compliance, fraud prevention, or security reasons

7. Cash on Delivery Transactions

7.1 Where a customer selects Cash on Delivery:

  • the driver is responsible for collecting payment directly from the customer or recipient.

7.2 Upon successful completion of the delivery:

  • the applicable commission percentage is automatically deducted from the driver’s commission wallet

7.3 Drivers expressly authorize Lashbrids to process such automatic commission deductions.

8.Digital Payment Transactions

8.1 Where a customer selects Digital Payment:

  • payment is processed through an approved third-party payment gateway

8.2 Customers authorize Lashbrids to process payment immediately upon delivery confirmation.

8.3 Upon successful delivery confirmation:

8.4 Lashbrids is not responsible for delays caused by banks, financial institutions, payment gateways

9.Delivery Confirmation

9.1 A delivery shall be regarded as completed once:

  • the customer or recipient confirms receipt;
  • the platform records successful completion; or
  • delivery confirmation is otherwise verified through system records, communication logs and timestamps.

9.2 Delivery confirmation constitutes acceptance that the service was completed satisfactorily unless evidence of fraud or material non-performance is provided.

10. Disputes, Refunds and Payment Resolution

10.1 Because payments are processed upon successful delivery confirmation, refunds are generally not applicable once a delivery has been completed and accepted.

10.2 All disputes are reviewed on a case-by-case basis

10.3 Lashbrids reserves the right to request supporting evidence from both customers and drivers before making a determination

10.4 Submission of a dispute does not guarantee a refund, reversal, or compensation.

11.Chargebacks and Fraud Prevention

11.1 Customers may not initiate fraudulent chargebacks for services successfully completed and confirmed.

11.2 Lashbrids reserves the right to dispute chargebacks using

  • delivery records;
  • GPS tracking data;
  • communication logs;
  • timestamps;
  • proof of delivery confirmations; and
  • other relevant transaction evidence.

11.3 Fraudulent disputes, abuse of the platform, or payment manipulation may result in:

  • account suspension;
  • permanent account termination;
  • restriction from future platform usage;
  • withholding of payouts or balances; and/or
  • reporting to relevant authorities where applicable

12.Non-Payment and Customer Obligations

12.1 Customers are responsible for ensuring that valid payment methods are available for digital transactions.

12.2 Failure to complete payment for successfully completed services may result in:

  • temporary or permanent account suspension;
  • restrictions on future bookings;
  • classification as a high-risk account;
  • recovery procedures for outstanding amounts; and/or
  • legal or collection actions where applicable
  • engagement of law enforcement

12.3 Lashbrids reserves the right to require prepaid bookings, identity verification, or additional payment verification for accounts identified as high-risk.

13. Driver Responsibilities

Drivers agree to:

  • provide accurate account and payment information;
  • maintain sufficient wallet balances;
  • complete accepted jobs professionally and lawfully;
  • handle and transport goods in a manner that prevents damage and ensures they arrive in good condition
  • comply with all applicable transport and road regulations;
  • avoid fraudulent or misleading conduct; and
  • comply with all platform operational requirements

14.Transaction Records and Audit Trail

14.1 All wallet deductions, commissions, bids, payouts, payments, and related transactions are logged and recorded by the platform

14.2 Drivers may access transaction histories through their platform accounts where available.

14.3 Lashbrids maintains transaction records for:

  • auditing purposes;
  • fraud prevention;
  • dispute resolution;
  • compliance obligations; and
  • operational monitoring.

15.Account Suspension and Termination

15.1 Lashbrids reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate any account that:

  • violates these Terms and Conditions;
  • engages in fraud or abuse;
  • manipulates the wallet or bidding system;
  • repeatedly fails to meet payment obligations; or
  • poses operational, legal, or financial risks to the platform.

15.2 Lashbrids may also suspend accounts pending investigations into suspicious transactions or disputes

16.Limitation of Liability

16.1 Lashbrids acts solely as a technology platform facilitating interactions between customers and independent drivers.

Lashbrids is not liable for:

  • driver misconduct;
  • delayed deliveries caused by traffic, weather, or external events;
  • losses resulting from inaccurate customer information;
  • disputes unrelated to payment processing; or
  • failures caused by third-party payment gateways, banks, or telecommunications providers.

17. Loss, Theft and Damages

17.1 Drivers are responsible for exercising reasonable care and diligence when handling customer goods, parcels, documents, or other items during transportation and delivery.

17.2 Customers are responsible for ensuring that all goods are:

  • properly packaged;
  • accurately described;
  • lawful to transport; and
  • suitable for normal transportation conditions

17.3 Lashbrids does not guarantee the safety, condition, or uninterrupted transportation of goods and shall not be held liable for:

  • theft by third parties;
  • loss caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control;
  • damage resulting from insufficient packaging;
  • delays caused by traffic, weather, accidents, protests, road closures, or force majeure events; or
  • indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from delivery services.

17.4 Drivers may be held responsible for loss or damage where it is determined, through investigation, that the loss or damage resulted directly from:

  • negligence;
  • reckless conduct;
  • unauthorized use of goods;
  • intentional misconduct; or
  • failure to complete delivery without reasonable cause.

17.5 Customers must report any claims relating to loss, theft, missing items, or damages within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery completion. Claims submitted after this period may not be considered

17.6 All claims are subject to investigation by Lashbrids, and supporting evidence may be requested, including:

  • photographs;
  • proof of value;
  • communication records;
  • delivery confirmations; and
  • any other relevant documentation

17.7 Lashbrids reserves the right to facilitate communication between customers and drivers for purposes of dispute resolution but is not obligated to compensate either party unless otherwise required by law.

17.8 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lashbrids’ liability for any approved claim shall be limited to the lesser of:

  • the declared value of the item; or
  • The amount paid for the delivery service related to the affected transaction.

17.9 Lashbrids reserves the right to decline transportation of:

  • prohibited items;
  • dangerous goods;
  • illegal substances;
  • perishable items without proper packaging;

17.10 Customers are encouraged to arrange independent insurance coverage for high-value, fragile, sensitive, or irreplaceable items transported through the platform.

18.Amendments

Lashbrids reserves the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions become effective immediately upon publication on the platform or website.

19.Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa
